Can one roof leak be repaired without replacing the whole roof?

One leak does not automatically mean full replacement. The leak source, roof age, and surrounding shingle condition determine whether repair is practical.

Short Answer

Often, yes. A single leak may come from a pipe boot, flashing detail, nail pop, valley issue, or isolated shingle damage. Replacement becomes more likely when the roof has broad age wear, repeated leaks, brittle shingles, or storm damage across multiple slopes.
